I just got around to uploading a series of shots from one of my favorite rides in the Topanga/Santa Monica Mtns. area. The ride culminates in a great climb up Stunt Road. Which, if you hit it early enough, you don't have to share with very many cars at all. It is quite scenic if you can take a moment to look around. Many times, the marine layer clings to the hilltops and sets a great atmosphere. It's easy to imagine you are somewhere far away. Once you are at the saddle there are several options to extend the ride well into the 50-60 mile range with a LOT more climbing.
