I made a poor man's version of loop bar for my recent 6-hour trip by adding some old bar end grips to Alba. I think I used the loop area for about 20% of the times. Ideally for a long frame like Appa with some load, the loop needs to be wider.
I do think overall it looks ugly, but an option upright bar users can consider for long trips. esp for those who feel the reach is not long enough with Chocos.
