Well I don't ride drops anymore so I've kind of become the queen of Alt
Bars.

I have the Choco Norms on my Joe. When I first saw them I didn't think I
would care for them as they are pretty flat and come way back. However,
with the long top tube of the Joe it works well and I actually like them.
I don't ride very aggressively (off road) and it works well for me.

I have the Albatross on a Soma San Marcos and love it! However, I had the
same bar on my Cheviot and hated it. Was far too cramped on a 55 Cheviot
but just fine on my 51 San Marcos.

I have the MAP/Hearne on the Quickbeam and also like that. A bit more
aggressive and the width seems to work well for me.

I converted a 86 Pinarello Montello to upright and have the Albastache on
it. Perfect! Gives me the most aggressive position of all the bars
discussed without being a back breaker. It looks great and feels
surprisingly good. (I did have a short adjustment period on it).

I agree with the poster who said that the Albatross was a sweet looking
bar. I think the sweep and curves on it look fantastic.
