They certainly are elegant looking in a minimalist way

About 6 weeks ago I bought a Portland Designs bell from MEC

Put it on my mixte which I still haven't gotten around to riding; other 
stuff going on

We'll see...basis MEC reviews the King of Ding isn't getting a ringing 
endorsement (apologies for bad pun)

The dutch Selfie bell works fine, as do the Crane bells and as does my 
cheapie 18 year old Cateye bell. Velo Orange made a brass-plated bell that 
I also really liked, but the spring striker just gave up the ghost and fell 
off last fall after about 4 seasons. Truth be told, though it wasn't a very 
expensive bell
