I want to sell my wife's 54 cm Rambouillet (blue). She has had it for
about 3-1/2 years, during which time she was pregnant or recovering
from being pregnant or hibernating during winter most of the time.
Therefore, it was ridden very, very little (<200 miles), and mostly
hung in my shop as a display bike (on the ceiling, out of reach). Now
she wants to get back into riding, but we have three small children,
and I want to set her up on something better suited to pulling a
Burley and mounting child seats. I think a Hillborne is probably more
appropriate.

The bike is pretty much the standard Riv spec: 105 hubs on Araya rims,
Ultegra rear derailleur, 105 front derailleur. Dura-Ace 9s bar-end
shifters, Technomic stem and Noodle bar. The main difference is the
Campy compact double crank and Miche or Campy BB. And it comes with
Berthoud stainless fenders. No pedals or saddle, but I can include
some for a good price. I don't have the original Nitto seatpost, so I
will include a Kalloy Laprade in the price or give a good deal on a
Nitto or whatever else the buyer prefers. Also, I will probably
transfer the entire stem/bar/shifter/brakelever contraption to her new
bike, and replace with similar new parts according to the buyer's
preference (or I can reduce the price and not send these parts at
all).

As I mentioned before, the bike was used only a little, and it is very
clean. The exception is about half a dozen or so small paint chips in
one ~4" section on the top tube. It was my fault. On one of our rides,
I leaned the bike in a precarious way, and it slipped, sliding the top-
tube along a sign post. The chips are small, and don't even seem to
have broken through the primer under the blue. They aren't noticeable
at first glance, and can likely be touched up with appropriately
colored nail polish. Aside from these blemishes, the bike could
probably pass for new.

I'm asking $2100 for the whole thing including professional packing
and insured UPS Ground shipping in CONUS. For local buyers, I will
pick up the sales tax, in lieu of packing/shipping costs.

Serious potential buyers please contact me off-list with questions,
offers, or if you want some photos.
