I had disc brakes on a mountain bike that had rack braze-ons.  I found a 
threaded standoff at my local hardware.  Looked like this:

PS: Rene, I love the blue cable housings on your orange Hubbuhubbuh.  I had 
just returned some I had ordered for my orange Sam because they seemed too 
much.  After seeing your photos, I am now kicking myself.  They look great.
