Speaking of, not that I am an expert, I concur on the choice of the older XTR v-brakes. I cobbled together an electric cargo bike, a standard level Yuba Mundo, one without disc brakes standard, and the shop I was working with highly recommended the XTR's - and they were absolutely right. Even with the weight of the Yuba, I have never doubted the brakes. Anyway, it brought a smile here to see your new bike... It is easy to see great fun in your future!
