What is a "short jaunt"? I rather think that all my rides are short, jaunty
or not: 30 miles is the exception, 20 is typical, a 6 or 8 out and ditto
back, for an errand, is also very common.

Segwaying: besides errands, I like to jaunt in several different places;
y'all share your choices, too.

1. The nearby (1 mile from my door) paved Rio Grand path that runs from
south of Corrales 15 miles or so south to Rio Bravo. An out and back
through the trees is nice when the westerlies are strong.

2. Tramway: a gradual but for me longish 7 mile climb (5 mile hill proper,
but 7 miles from Rio Grand river 5K feet) to the base of the Sandias.

3. South across Coors, about 1 mile from me, where access and residential
roads climb up and down the West Mesa and adjuncts.

4. The dirt acequia roads and trails that spiderweb central ABQ along the
RG.

I'm debating at this very moment between (1) and (4) -- unless y'all give
me some resume or LI work!
