I like leather saddles in general because they look good on the older steel bicycles I like to ride, and because they are comfortable, and because, like the older bicycles, they get better looking with age. And they require you to pay them just a bit of attention. The only "weight disadvantage" that needs to be dealt with is in the mind. Even if you are a category 2 racing BOB, you will never lose a race because you rode with a leather saddle. I personally guarantee it;^)
We must continually make new stuff because our economy does not work unless per capita consumption continues to increase. This is why many of us are in a permanent state of dissatisfaction, yearning for the next better new thing. I stick mostly with leather to avoid all the stress, though I admit to being curious when a particular saddle gets a rave here or over at iBOB. What sublime luxury am I denying my posterior? I don't doubt there are more comfortable saddles out there. But which ones? I can't afford the research. Yikes! Too many choices. *http://tinyurl.com/kypp5kf* <http://tinyurl.com/kypp5kf> (smart parts backwards is strap trams) On Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 9:32:18 AM UTC-4, Johnny Alien wrote: > > I believe most people here use smart parts that they like and deal with > the weight disadvantage. > -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
