TRP RRL brake levers pull an appropriate amount of cable for road bike calipers. Typical V-brake calipers require a lot more cable pull. In the coarsest terms with no specifics short pull levers with long pull requiring brakes will work but the two frequent complaints are
1. Extremely squishy braking. It's super easy to pull the levers all the way to the handlebar 2. You have to run the brake pads extremely close to the rims If the v brakes in question are not actually typical v-brakes but instead are mini v brakes like Paul Mini Motos or similar, then those two complaints are significantly mitigated. If the brake posts are positioned in a way that allows you to run your brake pads all the way up at the top, the math of mechanical advantage also improves. So, as usual, it depends BL in EC -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
