I would respectfully disagree, Bill. I'm a daily reader (though I don't bother with the commenting; by the way, the dumb podium "FIRST" thing is not unique to his blog, but is rather common on blogs with lots of followers and active commenters). Most of what's amusing about the blog is his take on localized NYC-specific biking experiences, from dealing with traffic, terrible bike lane design, bike culture criticism, and really pleasant-to-read ride reports. Anyone who rides a bike for transportation (like me) in New York City probably gets more out of it than the west coasters here, so I understand why the blog doesn't have much of an appeal. NYC bike commuting is... another animal compared to California riding, and that's what the blog is about.
I'll also say that if you actually bother to read it, it can be super funny. And he shares Grant's penchant for taking a critical stance on bike industry marketing trends, often extending that commentary in the form of irreverent "product reviews" of ridiculously overcomplicated cycling accessories marketed on Kickstarter accounts.
