I love climbing up the colloquially named Garbage truck grade on the backside​ of Griffith up to the observatory, bomb back down into Silver Lake, Echo Park through Chinatown to the L.A. river bike path. The Ballona Creek bike trail to Marina Del Ray then South towards P.V.or North through Venice, Santa Monica and Malibu are sublime. I do it when the inland temperature is crazy hot.
