I have a Sam Hilborne that is my do everything bike with Albatross bars, ride it everywhere and heavy on dirt, so I wanted this bike to be more like a road bike. I have avoided drop bars since I was in high school and rode my sisters Peugeot (she didn't)--they never felt comfortable. I've commuted since college on tweaked mountain bikes, until recently. I'm committing to try the drop bars on they bike through summer and see if I can get myself feeling comfortable. My first ride was about fifteen miles and I did have some tightness in my back, but was much better than previous experiences. Anyone have suggestions on getting comfortable on drops? I don't feel too forward with my new setup, and very comfortable on the tops of the bars. I'm hoping the tightness in my back will fade as I ride them more.
