I didn't want to hijack Antone's thread, therefore am starting this one. I've had my eye on this bike (it would be my fist Riv) for the past 6 months or so. New, it is just too rich for my blood. So, when this came up, I contacted the owner, who was very responsive, and he emailed me his receipt from Rivendell. We arranged to get together this morning (Saturday), probably not the best day to do a test ride--it was below 30 degrees with an incredible wind. I went up with a helmet, cashier's check and bike rack fully expecting to purchase the bike. However, I didn't. I just got "nervous" --it just wasn't the right time/bike/price for me (or whatever it was that I was feeling). However, I will tell you it rode fabulously. I probably put on a mile or two, riding around the park and the owner told me that he put on less than five miles. It is lighter than I expected and the gray color is gorgeous! So, if anyone is still interested, the bike is still available, or at least it was when I left at 1:30 this afternoon.
