Hi,

I know this isn't a Rivendell but I built this bike in the Rivendell spirit
after selling my Rambouillet.

The Fuji World Tour was their high-end touring bike that was only available
for a couple of year. I purchased the first year model in 2004. In contrast
to the standard model, the main triangle used Reynolds 853 steel and the
drive train used a mix of Ultegra and Deore XT components. The original
fork was carbon fiber but I've replaced the fork with a custom steel fork
built by Vendetta Cycles.

Build details

- 64cm Fuji World Tour frame with Reynolds 853 main triangle
- Custom front fork built with long steerer tube and 10 (yes, 10!) eyelets.
There are two eyelets on the top of the fork crown, two eyelets on the fork
blade (1 for low rider rack mounting and 1 intended for a mini-rack) plus
both rack and fender eyelets.
- Custom wheels built by Sugar Wheel Works in Portland, OR. The rear wheel
is built with 48 spoke Phil Wood touring hub and the front wheel was built
with 40 spoke Phil Wood touring hub. The rims are Velocity Dyad.
- VO locking skewers.
- Vittoria Randonneur Hyper 700x35 tires.
- SKS fenders.
- The drive train has a VO bottom bracket are their touring triple
(48-34-24) along with an IRD Alpina-D derailleur. The rear derailleur is
the original Deore XT 9-speed model. The original 9-speed Ultegra brifters
are still installed.
- The brakes are Paul Components: Neo-Retro front and Touring Cantilever
back.
- Chris King 1" threadless headset.
- Tektro interrupter brake levers.
- VO Classic Round 46cm handlebars.I have both an IRD hi-rise stem
(mounted) and a normal VO stem
- King stainless water cages.
- CLB Aero seatpost
- Brooks B17 Standard Select tan saddle
- Racktime Topit front rack and Addit rear rack. Both in silver.

The bike has less than 250 miles after the build. It's ride is very smooth.
