I have some cool Frostline stuff that I didnt sew but have found at garage sales. Had some panniers at one point. I love the various skill levels in construction. My daily down jacket is a mess, but Bill (according to the label) tried his best! When I was poor, I sewed my own windscreen based on the pictures on the riv sight. The mitts wouldn't be too hard to make at home, maybe minus the thumb...you could make them out of duct tape and an elastic cord...no sewing required.
