I've been commuting on a 23" 1987 Schwinn Voyageur, and as much as I love
the look and handling, I feel too stretched on the top tube (even with a
Nitto dirt drop stem). When I do rides longer than my 5.5 mile commute, I
inevitably end up with neck and shoulder pain and a headache from putting
too much weight on my hands. Been looking around for a 21" Voyageur or
Passage to replace it with but nothing is coming up, so thought I'd reach
out and see if anyone has a bike more in line with the *cough* dream bike
of the week.

We're renovating and don't have space for me to be collecting bikes, so I
need one right now that meets a lot of needs and sports/touring set up of
the San Marcos or Rambouillet would serve me better than a full-on touring
right like the Voyageur and allow me to do longer Saturday morning rides
with friends who ride more road/cyclocross bikes.

Anyone sitting on a mid-sized San Marcos/Ram f/f/h and need to thin the
herd? Really just looking for a frameset right now. Everything I have on
the Voyageur I want to transition over (except for the campi brakes, those
will stay with the Schwinn). I've been collecting parts for years and don't
want to part with any of the current components if I can help it (pun
intended).

Cheers,
Mike in ATX
