This is all very fascinating. Interesting that Steve has also had the Velocity wheels go bad on him. I honestly had no idea Velocity has a history of problems with the rims or I might have contacted them. I noticed today the front wheel is still the Velocity I had prior; no cracks, but I'll be watching.
Maybe I'm harder on stuff than you guys are. I remember you all being confused that I had bent a Wald basket, but it is indeed good and bent. And then there's the shifter I also seem to have worn out. Oh, and maybe I had it coming with the broken wheel. I get a kick out of crashing over bumps without rising out of the saddle.
