Patrick- They are albastache bars. I've had the original mustache, as well (but alas, they were temporarily moved to another bike that unfortunately got stolen. Now that I'm thinking about it I believe Grant originally designed it for use with mustaches.) I like both iterations. The extra width is nice, but I remember liking the angle that the brake levers sit better with the originals.
Either 'stache work for me. I find the combination of 'staches and Suntour bar end shifters to be a perfect shifting setup.
