surely the AHH will continue! we already know that Waterford has made
the 700c version and Toyo the 650B...
now that Toyo Japan is not going to be building for Rivendell, maybe
Waterford WILL be making all sizes.

i've talked recently with Grant about getting either a Hilsen or a
Rodeo (or a full custom), and never did he mention that i'd better
hurry
up and get the AHH before it's gone. One thing i -did- notice in the
new 2010 catalog pd is that the Hillborne is listed as being like the
Hilsen, but $1500 less. last time i looked, the AHH was $2000 and the
Hillborne $1000. maybe Grant was letting us know the price on the AHH
is soon to go up?

speaking of the AHH and the Rodeo, does anyone have any info on how
much more the AHH frame/fork weighs versus the Rodeo? i know the
Rodeo is mention as 'sub-20 pounds' (not counting pedals or saddle)
when done the 'Mark' way for racing. Racing is NOT something i'll be
doing, so the 'heavy' (so to speak) Rodeo is what i would be
considering. i am just curious as to how much more a comparable AHH
would weigh over a Rodeo. 2 lbs? more?? does anyone have that
info?

i am grateful for Grant and his entire crew, not only for the
wonderful bikes and parts they supply, but for their way of doing
business. it's obvious they think of more than just themselves and
their own needs (i'm thinking of the charities they support here), and
i appreciate that. i have followed Rivendell for years (from
Bridgestone days forward) and have bought gear here and there, but i
have YET to buy a frame or full bike from Rivendell. 2010 will be the
year. i committed this to myself and to Rivendell by getting my
deposit in on the 31st of December. Now i just have to decide WHICH
frame to buy. ;-)
