You can easily get longer struts, as they are common with salsa, tubus, and other rack companies. Just don't use nitto struts, as they are slightly smaller.
I had to use longer struts with Salsa Marrakesh, which has the mid-blade, low rider, rack mounts. I also had to use a long spacer (30 mm) for the top mount, so my tall bag would clear in front of my bars. The rawland rack mounts very close to the head tube.
