While Surly frames are made with 4140 cromo, currently all Soma frames are made with Tange Prestige tubing. I'd always assumed Tange Prestige was not plain cromo. As to what the actual specs for the Soma/Riv frame will be, we can only await word from either. richard -- Really, the biggest challenge we face is figuring out how to ride our bikes while maintaining the illusion that we're special.
