Brian corrected me that Colin is not in Portland, but instead is in that little-known suburb of Portland...Seattle. :-P
I went on a true maiden voyage this morning. On my daily drop run through the cemetery in El Cerrito, I stopped at my favorite crypt and took a shot. While I LOVE the rocket logo and I also love the R05C0 8U883 spelling, I do not think I will vocally refer to this bike as "Rosco Bubbe". I'm thinking I might vocally refer to this bike as "McCarthy" <https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-TRq1MmnvxL0/WFgkCN71aII/AAAAAAAADVY/NFFuvtCDJg4aoMNY5Vt3w7pQWEEOXSg6ACLcB/s1600/IMG_1469.JPG> McCarthy rides like the fine road bike it is, and with the splendid 700x35 Bon Jon Pass tires, it's a screamer going downhill. I think I'm going to completely love the fast front end of a traditional road bike (73 HTA and 45mm offset) paired with longish chainstays. All the good, none of the bad. Portaging the bike up the BART steps in El Cerrito, and back down in Union City, the liftatube was perfect. Like giggling perfect. Like every time I ever carried a bike up or down stairs in my life, I was doing it wrong.
