Maybe this will evolve into a new "what's in your garage post summer 
2016/winter projects".  So here's what I got:

This past summer this pair of Bridgestones kept coming up on the local CL and I 
ended up with a NOS 1993 XO-2.  The marketing for it from the catalogue got me, 
26" wheeled RB-T with the X0-1 frame but with a budgety fork.  The story goes 
that the original owner won it in a sales contest from Bstone tires and so it 
sat for 20 years.  Some might remember I had a problem fitting the custom 
cliffhanger wheels in the original fork and picked up a hunq fork from the list 
then I had a local shop drop the canti posts.  The bike is built up 1x10 
woofltooth/xt with an ultegra 6700 RD moved by a XC-Pro thumby, friction of 
course.  For the cockpit I ended up with bosco moosies with XT levers pulling 
XT v-brakes.  I used Smart Sam pluses but had to end nip the outer most tread 
for la little more clearance on the non drive stays.  Pics:
