Also took a ride to welcome MMX. Took the Riv Road with a buddy who was on
an LHT. No mountains here in central AL, but beacoups rollers and lovely rural
vistas. It was a cool and damp 47F but felt colder in a 15 mph wind with the
humidity. Not quite 50 miles but
a great way to start the year. Triple layering (inner 2 of wool) kept me
tolerably comfortable even when wet with sweat.

from my home in San Francisco. Kind of a miserable, wet, dank, cool
