I am running the max width tire Riv recommends, 2.0. Specifically the Pacenti Quasi-Moto. They did fine, but I had been running 2.3's on my old bike and felt there can be a huge benefit in that depending on conditions. I used to do a bunch of snow riding and loved the continental vertical 2.3's on my Yeti.
I think if I had it to do again, knowing what I do now, I would have gone with an Atlantis. Not that I am sour on the Bombadil in any way, but I think the Atlantis may have been better for my intended MTB use. I would have gained a bit of standover clearance and the ability to run a fatter 26" tire. Who knows, maybe the larger 650b rolling diameter does as much "trail smoothing" as a larger volume 26" tire? Not sure if I am nuanced enough to tell, but I have certainly felt the difference from 2.0 vs. 2.3 on a 26" wheel. One thing I was a little on the fence about was the bar, but it is a keeper for sure! I was debating on a moustache set up, but wanted to get this on a good trail first. It's right on for me. Thanks Riv/Nitto for that one! On Jan 1, 8:27 pm, doug peterson <dougpn...@cox.net> wrote: > Now that looks like fun!
