While the World Is Still Asleep (The Century Trilogy) <https://smile.amazon.com/While-World-Asleep-Century-Trilogy/dp/1503953327/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1475374263&sr=8-2&keywords=while+the+world+is+sleeping>
An intriguing read for those with a bent for historical fiction, bicycles, a Rivendell "Just Ride" mentality, the contagious enthusiasm for bicycles in the 1890s, women's liberation through bicycles, and even the introduction of the mixte frame. If you are a reader (and I am) this is a good one. Cannot put it down. From the Amazon synopsis: "After the tragic death of her little brother, Josephine travels to the Black Forest to heal. There she discovers a feeling of freedom astride a brand-new invention: the bicycle. The very idea of a woman on a bicycle is beyond taboo—it is indecent and even illegal—but Josephine will not be deterred. Back home, Josephine rides under cover of night, while the world is still asleep so as not to provoke a scandal. But Berlin’s streets are dangerous and the winds of change are blowing."
