FWIW Scott regarding the Albatross. Since I take it by your interest in the other bars you are not using bar end shifters. That so, with the Albatross you can used bar end brake levers and thumbshifters mounted around the curve so you have the entire usable portion of the bar to place your hands, you are not locked into any one position. I've also seen shifters mounted alongside the bar end brake levers. I wrap mine with regular bar tape. I never liked atb levers myself as the mount was always in the way of my hands at some time. The bar end levers I find actually easier to use and really only need my two smallest fingers to apply brakes. I also find the sweep angle of the Alba type bar to be most comfortable, much more so than the other type of bar you are looking at.
