In the last year, I have converted at least 7 bikes to dynamo hubs. Initially I was worried about drag, but it is very minimal when you are on the bike and moving. My first hub was a SON. Since then I've laced up 3 Shimano & 3 or 4 Shutter Precisions. The SON is probably the best overall package, but I like the SP on road bikes due to its small size & I like the Shimanos on bikes that take a bit more punishment, offroad. Once you switch you'll never go back!
