Seems convenient to have reflectors on pedals, like the MKS Sneaker peals do. Just jump on and ride. No need to buy ankle cuffs and then have to put them on and store them between night rides.

On the other hand, if you ever do decide to do a RUSA brevet that involves night riding, you'll be all set. Pedal reflectors won't cut it.



Anyone seen the Sneaker pedals in action? Good enough or are ankle bands that much better that they are worth the hassle of putting on/taking off/storing?


There's nobody more serious about night time safety than the randonneurs. They require them. Reflectors on pedals are not acceptable substitutes. That tells you something.
