hi gang, Late to report, but the last weekend's sale was indeed as good or better than Manny's photos illustrate. Aside from my last-minute impulse purchase of a nice Rich-built 650B wheelset my big splurge was on the blingy, bauble-like Hatta bottom bracket I've watched crawl across the RBW "garage sale table" for the past couple years - final markdown was $40.
My "scores" came on bottom-feeder shop cruft-and-crud: some decent cassettes, orphan brakes to match up with those in my own collection of wayward brakes and... way too damn many front hubs! My biggest caveat emptor was a mismatched set of MKS pedals (I got two right feet!)... Also picked up a nice pair of West German wool knickers that turned out to be much too small (for my 36 waist) - marked as "Size 8", MAYBE they would fit a 32? Laid flat taken inside edge-edge, they measure just a bit over 16" wide. $25, see pics attached here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/joe_bunik/albums/72157672341380431 === I also am *still* sitting on my own RBW clothing overstock, and would like to re-offer these: $60 Bridgestone Castelli 100% Wool Cycling Jersey size 7 (XL) https://www.flickr.com/photos/joe_bunik/sets/72157661722811934 Bridgestone used to sell these in the 1990's (one year only, I believe). If you like things Rivendell, you might fancy this jersey - it is really quite special, but regretably the moths got to it. I spent a good 3 hours sewing the holes closed with matched orange wool thread. Now, it's mended but is by no means is a 'mint' specimen - though it looks fine when worn. === $50 Rivendell MUSA Railroad shirt (1st generation) https://www.flickr.com/photos/joe_bunik/sets/72157661722811954 Sized "M" but fits waaay larger than I prefer (and I typically wear "L" shirts), and thus only worn maybe 4 times. === $50 Rivendell MUSA Moleskin green Size M, fits nice but is heavier/warmer than I need in a shirt of this type.
