You didn't include exactly what size tire you want to run on your Atlantis. 
 A good rule of thumb for metal fender is to add 18 mm to the tire size, 8 
mm for the rolled lip and 10 mm for clearance.  Hence a 41 mm tire would 
call for at least a 59 mm tire.  We have run 38 mm and now 45 mm tires 
under the VO 60 mm fender on the tandem and it looks fine.  I'll try to 
post some pics when I have more time.
