I noted on the Velo Orange blog today that Ernest Csuka, the artisan maker of Alex Singer cycles for more than 60 years, has died on 12/22/09. He was 81 years old. M. Csuka's eminently practical cycles were also very beautiful. With his death goes the last of the grand builders of randonneuses from the golden age of French constructeurs.
