clips and straps for me with Sidi Touring shoes that Rivendell used to sell...just breaking in the 2nd of 2 pairs I bought in 2000 or 2001; Pedals - MKS Royal Nuevo / Sylvan Track/Stream and Campagnolo Track pedals. No cleats. The Stream pedals don't have a flip tab...sometimes the tab can be a wee bit of a nuisance. Pretty much stopped using clipless in 1995 or so. I also tried to go with no retention , but that just feels too weird to me...no offence intended to everyone who's embraced this but I've tried it and I just don't feel secure or something
