Ha! From the Shorter Oxford English Dictionary:
- *1* A tiring or troublesome journey. Now only as an iron. use of sense 2. l16. - *2* An excursion, a journey; *esp.* a pleasure trip. l17. Certainly it wasn't troublesome, but I was tired after it. Grin. Also, there was a Winnie the Pooh "tra-la-la" quality to the middle half that follows the rivers. Rather an idyllic ramble or jaunt. One "trick" I've learned to longer Quickbeam rides is to incorporate the "tra-la-la" aspect at every opportunity. Challenging to do cranking up a 10 mile climb, but I'm working on it! Grin.
