If she doesn't ride often, that can easily account for the sore butt. Just riding more can help a lot. She may just need to get over the rough spot. As far as what saddle might be best, I can say that in my forty years in the business, I've had very few women be happy with Brooks saddles, unless she's riding in a very upright position, like on an old Raleigh three speed.
Terry is a brand that's far more likely to please a lady. The more upright the riding position, the wider the saddle should be.
