Probably mentioned above but worth repeating: bear spray will be on the ready? Have you practiced firing it?
A MTBer was killed by what was most likely a grizzly bear yesterday outside West Glacier. That's not exactly on your course, but it's fairly close. I've been thinking one of those Randi Jo bar bags might make a good spray holster. Might be worth consideration? Anyhow, good luck on the adventure. As you swing into the Flathead Valley, I'don't love to check outhe your DFL in person. I'm considering options for something with more trail ability than my Hillborne.
