That's pretty nifty, Bill. I did some Riv-inspired mucking about on eCLEM, too: I wanted the reverse-inside thumbie setup, but I'm running an 8-speed SunRace shifter. I moved the 8-speed to the left side, then scrounged for a right side front shifter, ending up with a Shimano front downtube shifter on a V-O thumbie mount. It's asymmetrical and backwards, but it works!
