I have both the 35mm and 38mm and yes they ought to be called by their ETRO number as they measure 38 and 40mm respectively, at least on Mavic A719(24.5mm) rims .
The height difference is about 1-1.5mm nut neither is very tall for the size. I really cannot tell a difference between the 2 front or rear on my Bombadil. I run them at about 40psi front , often less. 45psi rear, and yes often less. I'm on my second set of rears. I've ridden them a bit on primitive township "roads" and even some atv trails , neither bad nor great there.
