Here's an idea, one I've been toying with for several years: I really like the huge flap, integrated stuffsack and inherent stuffability of traditional Carradice-like saddlebags. Their size seems to match pretty well the footprint of a biggish rear rack. So, I've been thinking it would be fun to engineer a strappy solution that would allow me to use a Saddlebag, mounted sideways, as a racktop bag.
