I agree with happy customers providing great marketing. You sure this
thread hasn't been excruciating enough? :) So far, the output of this
thread is an assortment of notes in a text file.

Once I convince Roman to start discussing the component selection, I'll
create a shared build spreadsheet and post notable (minute/excruciating?)
updates to the list. He mentioned RBW is reluctant to do that as they
don't want to pull parts this early. If they are floating the cost of
items they can no longer sell, I can't say I blame them. Maybe I can speed
the process if I offer to increase my deposit to cover the cost of any part
pulled or ordered. That way, the risk is on me. I would rather do as much
up front as possible to reduce the risk of a potential back order
preventing timely delivery.

This is especially true if I have to plan for a trip to Walnut Creek. One
of my ways of making that trip is planning for maintenance on my RV in
Junction City, OR and driving to CA while that work is being done. I'll be
out of the RV anyway. Might as well make that time productive. I would
need to find a way for laying the bike in the (covered) bed of the truck in
a way that reduces risk of paint damage. I think I can find a way, maybe
taking of the front tire off and laying the bike on a dog bed. Of course,
with these brakes, I would need to deflate the tire a bit. Hmmm. :)
Still not something that would happen often, though. I can live with that.

The internet mantra is, "Pics or it didn't happen." Those are a few months
out yet, but will get here eventually.
