Patrick, curious if you don't wear 'traditional' cycling caps for any 
reason? They don't blow off on descents, are ultra-packable too. I've got 
some made from cotton, some merino wool, some with ear flaps that fold 
up/down, and they are cheap! I find they work best with sunglasses as the 
short brims don't offer ideal coverage from the sun though.
