W-a-a-a-a-y back in the 60's when I was first developing (nope, no pun intended) an interest in photography I picked up one of those "how-to" paperbacks in a local bookstore. I don't remember much about everything it had to say except for this one quip: "a box camera in the hands of an expert will take better pictures than a Nikon in the hands of a novice." (OK, for those of you too young to understand, don't hassle me about the term "box camera").
Well, Erik here has produced the kind of photos that prove this somewhat trite cliche to be correct. It's properly framing the subject and capturing the moment that count the most. These pictures are so fantastic that he could have taken them with a pin-hole camera (again, I'm showing my age) and they'd still be great. Very nice job!
