This is a beautiful bike I purchased over a year ago, when circumstances seemed to be going one way, and damn if they didn't turn and go another. I'm a truck driver, and the sole bike that is of use to me now (and for the foreseeable future) is my Brompton. I have ridden the Sam exactly twice, each time for less than 20 miles. Now I wish to find it a home that can put it to better use, though I am in no particular rush to do so. The right buyer, and the right price, are important considerations. I'm thinking $2,200 plus shipping is in the ballpark. If you're within a few hundred miles of Cincinnati, I'd be willing to meet halfway, gratis, to deliver the bicycle.
If you are someone who has been eyeing a Sam, but hesitated to pull the trigger in the past. Someone perhaps who is sad that the Sage Green is no longer available and/or someone who laments the loss of the double-tube on the 58cm, this may be your opportunity. I'm selling it complete, with SKS/ESGE LongBoard Silver Fenders, Nitto Mark's Rack and Big Back Rack, a medium Wald Basket and the sized-to-fit Medium Sackville ShopSack. I may have an older, but not entirely worn-out Brooks B17 to throw in, but no pedals. I will make pictures available and attach a full parts list (though its some variation of the basic Riv Alba Sam build, with a Sugino triple furnished with two chainrings plus a guard ring) within the week when I am next through home.
