hey dave, the bottom bungee attachment is like the 1st photo. i believe all of the smaller panniers have this attachment and only the larger ones have the bungee attached to the top with the strap that allows for segmented-side to side adjustment. youll notice that in the photos, only the larger panniers are like this. anyway, they fit on my rack quite solidly and were purchased new from lone peak about 8 months ago. let me know if you need any more info.
