My buddy Dave Abercrombie (commonly known as Abe) and I went for a little
ride around SF today. He on his Bombadil (Tom) and I on my Joe Appaloosa.

(I neglected to turn on my gps until we reached the bay, but we actually
started where the ride ended, so it was a complete loop.)

We rode from central SF, north to the beach, then west to the GG bridge. We
rode over, and I wanted to get a photo of the Robin Williams tunnel.
Unfortunately you cannot go there on a bicycle. But at least I got a lousy
photo. Then back across the bridge and continuing west and then south
until we reached GG park. Then thru the park, back to "home".

This was my first real ride on a joe. It's an easy bike to ride. :) Riding
in SF gives plenty of up and down hill action.

I moved my saddle back a bit at one point, which is surprising to me, since
it's already got a setback seatpost, and the seat tube angle is supposed to
be super mellow. I suspect it has to do with the bars coming back so far.
Gonna have to pay attention to my knees to find out where's the right
position for the saddle.

Sitting so upright is a little disconcerting. I feel like I should be
wearing more tweed. Still unknown if I'm gonna stick with this bar, or
change it up.
