It sounds worse than it is. Our normal annual rainfall is 37" but we've had 38" since Dec1. It's not really cold, as in Tennesee, but more wet and cool. With the right equipment- fenders, reflectors, sealed bearings your bike will be fine. Layers, gloves, and booties and you will be fine. The bigger deal is having facilities at work to shower, hang dry your clothes and safely park your bike. We have a great mass of commuters- enough so that autos pay notice to your existence.
