So, rather different than the 23 mm Pro Race *Service Course.* I would be interested in trying them, if they were made in 559 X 28+. To save ~$500 on my next 6 pairs of tires ...
Aside: I briefly tried Schwalbe's 559 X ~33 mm Kojak *tubeless* on my EQ 21 rims. They ride much differently sans tube than with even a light sub 90 gram 650C X 23 mm tube. Alas, while they maintained a seal while under sufficient pressure, when they deflated, the seal released, and I could not get it back with a hand pump -- which made the arrangement useless for my purposes -- I don't want to be left 20 miles from home, on some isolated dirt road, with no option but to install a tube in the messy tire -- and risk further flats with no further recourse. It's too bad, because the ~32-33 mm softness of the un-be-tubed Kojak was almost as good in feel as, and better in sand/dirt/gravel traction than, the tubed Elk Pass. Compass does not make the EP in tubeless form. On Wed, Mar 2, 2016 at 8:43 PM, Don Compton <dpco...@gmail.com> wrote: > Pat, > The new Michelen that I bought is a new tire. Max lbs 85, min 57.
