@ Kieran: Those are jokingly called "dork discs". But I think they are great for protecting spokes. Very functional. But I would only want a clear one on my bike.
As for the colors, I like both. Though I will say that I think an earthy color matches the name "Appaloosa" better than the light blue. When I think Appaloosa I think horse and grass and dirt and earthy colors. Congrats to all who got one!
