I second the vote for the Filson wax (www.filson.com/sm-one-can-of-oil- finish-wax--pi-2092385.html). See application instructions under "product details". I know some folks who use a heat gun to apply followed by a cloths dryer just long enough for the wax to flow into the fabric.
